Description	An excerpt from an oral history interview with Ophelia and Walter Stokes, conducted on 29 August 1976 by Ophelia Paine as part of the Historic Nashville, Inc. Tennessee Centennial Project. Mr. and Mrs. Stokes describe the Shooting the Chute ride at the Centennial. Mr. Stokes recounts convincing his mother to ride it with him, and her fainting before she got to the bottom. The complete interview is available in the Special Collections Division.
