lecture
series

organized

by
students

While
serving
as the
chairman
of the
Student
Nonviolent
Coordinating
Committee
(SNCC)
,
Carmichael
promoted
college
campus
outreach
programs
.
It
was
under
the
leadership
of
Carmichael
that the
philosophy
of
SNCC
evolved
.
