Description	A photograph of the new air service being demonstrated at the Nashville Airport, Nashville, Tennessee. The following caption accompanied this photograph in the Nashville Banner newspaper on February 3, 1936: "Twenty-one domestic and an international airline, railroads and motor transport combine to bring to Nashville and 23,000 other United States cities and towns a new fast express service. Above, Vehicleman E. B. Hoover of the Railway Express Agency is transferring from his truck to an American Airlines plane the first load of Nashville air express to be shipped through the new service. The packages are being loaded by D. D. Thomas, American Airlines dispatcher, while airline and express officials look on. They are, from left: Josh Hudson, American Airlines pilot; S. R. Owen, commercial agent for Railway Express Agency; Paul Stanley, city sales manager for the airline; W. L. Almon, general agent for the express agency. Shippers in the initial consignment include Castner-Knott Dry Goods Company, Grace's, Loveman, Berger & Teitlebaum, Candyland, Cain-Sloan Company, Tennessee Audit Bureau, Chayburke's, Jarman Shoe Company, Mose Cohen Shoe Company, Washington Manufacturing Company, Rich, Schwartz & Joseph, L. Jonas & Company, Joy Floral Company, Armstrong's, Commerce Union Bank, Nashville Trust Company, Third National Bank and Weinberger's."
