Construction of Church of the Holy Name was begun in May of 1916 after a fire in East Nashville destroyed the former church building, St. Columba. The architect of the building, which stands on Woodland Street and North Sixth, was Harry J. Frahan. It was built as a combination building that also housed a school that could accommodate 200 pupils. The church was formally dedicated on March 25, 1917. 3 x 5 in. |
